HANDSPAN
An empty place at the near end of a long walnut table

A reflection table for everyday care

Handspan

An intention becomes useful when it can fit between two hands: something noticed honestly, reached for respectfully, prepared with care, and passed without pressure.

Handspan is an independent, app-authored experience created for The Armor of God profile. It pairs short reflection with concrete, ordinary next steps.

Walk the length of the table
A hand placing a linen tag on walnut
Begin with what is present
A cup beside an open palm
Make room before advice
A pencil beside a folded unmarked note
Prepare one clear sentence

The interaction

Four rails.
One motion.

The Android app opens directly onto a long image table. Choose a photographic object, turn it through four action phases in the Prompt Lens, then place the cue that fits on an Assembly Surface. Four slips make a handspan; none asks for a personal story.

HOLDNotice what deserves honest attention.
REACHFind a respectful opening within reach.
READYPrepare one useful detail.
PASSLeave agency with the person affected.
NEAR END / MAKING ROOM

Care changes the available space.

Peace, patience, humility, boundaries, and listening begin before a solution appears. Handspan's prompts ask what can be slowed, clarified, offered, or left open.

Two hands leaving generous space between them
Space can be an active offering
A chair pulled slightly outward from a table
Entry should not require a performance
A thread gently linking two ordinary objects
Connection without capture
An ordinary food basket offered without spectacle
An option, not an obligation
MIDDLE / MATERIAL DIGNITY

Useful things still carry choice.

Food, clothing, tools, and shared work are never neutral if they remove privacy or preference. These themes focus on condition, fit, consent, context, and the ease of saying no.

A clean folded garment arranged with care
Fit and preference belong to the chooser
A small repair kit opened on walnut
Repair changes conditions
Several task objects shared across the table
Hidden work enters the picture
A seed packet beside a smooth calendar stone
Prepare support, not a prediction
FARTHER ALONG / RELATIONAL RHYTHM

A good handoff remains free.

Gratitude does not create debt. Repair does not command reconciliation. Hope does not forecast another person's future. Follow-through includes an honest update when a plan changes.

A gratitude object returned to its maker
Thank the actual contribution
A boundary marked softly with linen
A soft edge can still be clear
An empty dish preserving a deliberate pause
Rest does not need to be earned
Four distinct slips aligned as a handspan
Four cues are enough to carry

The organization & the app

A name in public record. A deliberately modest app.

Public nonprofit records identify an organization named The Armor of God in Vallejo, California, within a religious-organization classification. Those records do not provide a reliable public catalog of current programs, teachings, leaders, schedules, or services.

Handspan therefore stays in a useful lane: it creates original reflection and practical-care material without speaking for the organization. The twenty themes belong to the app's editorial world, not to an attributed ministry curriculum.

The app does not arrange services, accept donations, determine eligibility, provide counseling, or promise outcomes. Publisher-controlled contact and publication details remain outside this local preview.

A long table extending across several places
One ordinary object passed carefully between hands
Pass with context
A cleared walnut tabletop
Clear what no longer fits
An open hand at the far end of the table
Leave the final choice open

The far end

Keep the handoff human.

The most complete handspan still ends with another person's freedom to accept, alter, pause, or decline.
